Set of 4 Antique Dogon Spindle Whorl Beads japanese Sterling clasp4 Large size, very old, and rare ceramic "spindle whorl" beads from the Dogon tribe of Mali, West Africa. Although there is minor wear to these beads, they are in very good condition for their age and feature some of the coolest design elements seen on these kinds of clay beads. Each one was handmade and is one of a kind. Over 100 years old, these were originally used for spinning cotton and are the weight and base of a drop spindle. 30mm long x 47mm
