Constructed of a bronzed aluminum alloy, the obverse consisting of a Tyr rune, bearing a central mobile swastika, situated within a circular ring bearing an inscription of FR LEISTUNGEN IN DER H. J. (FOR MERIT IN THE H. J.), the reverse with a vertical pinback, stamped with an award number of 44034, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code M1 101 for Gustav Brehmer, Markneukirchen,
